New Osma UFH Design Guide For Installers

Wavin Plastics has launched a new Osma Underfloor Heating Design Guide to provide heating installers with installation guidance and best practice advice for working with OSMA UFH systems.

Wavin Plastics has launched a new Osma Underfloor Heating Design Guide to provide heating installers with installation guidance and best practice advice for working with OSMA UFH systems in domestic and light commercial applications The guide looks at the design principles behind underfloor heating, details the principle elements of the system and includes sections on minimising heat loss, water temperature, water flow control and guidance on combined systems

Under the design procedures section, easy to use equations show installers how to calculate heating power requirements.

In addition, step by step installation advice is provided for all types of floor construction including sand/cement and liquid screed floors, timber batterns, joists and fully floating timber floors.

All installation stages are illustrated with clear, close up photography for each floor type and a requirements section shows how to comply with Part L of the Building Regulations and the Safety at Work Act.

A press test record is included in the guide with details showing how to pressure test each circuit to verify the integrity of the pipework and connections.

To ensure detailed planning of any UFH project, the guide also provides examples of how to complete a design plan.

OSMA UFH products are as easy to install as conventional radiators and require little or no previous underfloor heating experience.

No specialist tools are required for successful installation, enabling installers to work quickly and achieve a high quality result.

All Osma underfloor heating systems, as well as basic components for underfloor heating such as staples, staple guns, and screw-in clips are available from Wavin's nationwide network of merchant distributors.
