Wavin Plastics has been awarded 'supplier of the year' from Scottish Water for the hard work and commitment Wavin has given to the major water supplier.

Wavin Plastics has been awarded 'supplier of the year' from Scottish Water; representing the hard work and commitment Wavin has given to the major water supplier.

In 2005, Scottish Water introduced a Supplier Development Programme for framework suppliers - Wavin Plastics being the first to be appointed in 2002.

The programme seeks to bring improvements throughout the supply chain and measures a series of KPI's coupled with subjective feedback from end users including contractors and in-house stores operation.

The KPI measures include health and safety, cost saving initiatives, customer focus, account management, partnership approach and problem solving.

During 2006, Wavin Plastics has shown its commitment to the framework agreement through fully engaging with Scottish Water, across the range of measures, to assist them in meeting the outputs of their quality and supply investment programme.

The next four year investment plan is now being implemented and by 2010 Scottish Water will have invested a further GBP2.4bn in improvements to quality and service.

Wavin Plastics will support Scottish Water throughout this period with an expanded range of products for potable, waste and storm water management.

The award was received at a ceremony at Hampden, Scotland's National Football Stadium, and was attended by many of Scottish Water's suppliers and key people including the Chairman and CEO.

The photo taken at the ceremony shows: Dave Jones accepting the award on behalf of Wavin Plastics from Chris Banks of Scottish Water.
