Danson House now includes some impressive 'period' gates and railings galvanized by South East Galvanizers .

Danson House, one of the finest country houses in the south of England has been restored to its former glory - thanks to a GBP4.5 million rebuilding programme, which included some impressive 'period' gates and railings galvanized by South East Galvanizers .

South East's customer, Metalcraft (Tottenham) manufactured 500 metres of railings, including vehicular and pedestrian gates for the 18th century house, which is at Bexleyheath, Kent and was built in 1766.

The landscaping and railing project was funded along with other refurbishments inside the house by the Bexley Heritage Trust.

Danson House was officially re-opened last year by HM the Queen after a restoration programme dating back to 1995.

However, the work is still continuing, especially the landscaping phase.

Neil Pearson of South East Galvanizers said: "The number of applications for galvanizing is almost endless, even for helping to restore historic buildings, and it's very pleasing for us that this modern-day process has been used to help with the restoration of such a worthwhile project as Danson House.".
