Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 19, 2009

Wernick Buildings has designed and built a steel framed modular construction that has the same aesthetic qualities as a traditionally built building.

The two-storey building has enabled a school to extend its facilities cost effectively in a quick time frame.

The King's School in Ottery St Mary contains 15 rooms and is constructed from steel frame modular units by Wernick Buildings.

The design comprises of 28 factory built modules which were delivered and constructed over four days with minimal disruption.

Modules were positioned on site by a crane moving them from delivery vehicles parked in the school's coach park, eliminating the need for lorries to pass through the entrance to school, keeping health and safety risks to a minimum.
