LABC Registered Details helps TLX meet regulations

A Web Dynamics product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 13, 2010

Web Dynamics' TLX range is the first multi-foil insulation to achieve LABC Registered System Status, part of LABC Registered Details.

Pre-approved systems for TLX Gold, TLX Silver and FB, and TLX Rafterfit will help users of the multi-foil insulation speed-up building regulation applications.

Developers, architects, designers, technical specifiers and contractors are able to register or use existing approved design details - cutting down time spent on the Building Control checking and approvals process.

LABC Registered Details has been designed to enable all Local Authority Building Control surveyors to share technical details and recognise Building Control decisions made by others in the LABC network.

This means that once a building system has received 'Registration' by the LABC it will be recognised nationally by all LABC surveyors in England and Wales.

It streamlines building regulations applications and benefits the end user by helping them save time and money.

Through Registered Details, LABC measures a design, system or solution against building regulations and judges whether compliance with regulations will be achieved.

In order to achieve Registered Systems Approval, Web Dynamics had to also demonstrate technical performance and achievement of recognised standards by supplying test certificates and other proofs of performance for each TLX product.

The LABC Registered Details certificates for the approved systems are: TLX Silver and FB: RD420710A; TLX Gold: RD420710B; and TLX Rafterfit: RD420710C.

TLX Gold, TLX Silver and FB, and TLX Rafterfit use a range of multi-layer insulation materials to deliver necessary thermal insulation solutions.

TLX Silver and TLX Rafterfit are vapour barriers while TLX Gold is water vapour permeable.

The multi-foil insulation range is popular for use in new build properties, conversions and building upgrades.
