Whitespace new showroom at Nortex Mill
Whitespace are interior design consultants who specialise in office planning, fit out and furniture.
The new Whitespace showroom at 'Nortex Mill' is proof that spacious, modern and well functioning business premises don't have to break the bank.
Having outgrown their previous offices and wanting a space to showcase products and design ideas, the business moved into Nortex Mill in Bolton, Lancashire.
The Mill, built in 1850, ran as a working cotton mill until the demise of the industry and has since been used to house retail outlets and storage.
But beyond the industrial facade, Whitespace saw much more potential - a blank canvas, large floor area, convenient position for motorway links (only half an hour from Manchester City Centre) and low overheads.
Whitespace occupy 325 m2 (3500 ft2) of Nortex Mill, at a fraction of the cost of equivalent town centre premises.
Nicola Young, Director says: "On arrival at the mill I think some clients have been sceptical as to what to expect, but once inside they have all been amazed at the transformation of space".
"What starts as a journey up stone steps and along concrete corridors ends in an environment full of texture and colour".
"With our glass block walls, seamless glass partitions, funky flooring and vibrant furniture; we've created an environment to excite and inspire clients, demonstrating that good design doesn't have to cost the earth".
Whitespace began in September 2004; directors Andy Wyn-Jones and Nicola Young combined their skills, experience and shared ethos - for providing clients with high quality solutions and excellent service - to make them successful in a highly competitive and fast paced marketplace.
Whitespace have over 20 years experience in the office design arena and can cover the whole spectrum: from space planning and design, to fit out and furniture, even signage, plants and pictures! Every project is managed by a member of the in-house team, so customers have one point of contact for all elements of the project including building, electrical and data cabling, heating/cooling, flooring, furniture and even the actual move.
The end goal is to provide customers with an environment where their clients and staff can enjoy their surroundings and work effectively.
Clients often come via recommendations and here's what one satisfied customer had to say: "Whitespace were extremely helpful and professional, they delivered the job on time, on budget and to a high standard".
"I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them." Vanessa Fox, City Press.
