Wincro wall ties pass the sound test
Independent tests undertaken on the WT4 wall tie range from Wincro Metal Industries, have confirmed that they exceed all the requirements of Part E of the Building Regulations.
It comprises of stainless steel channel in standard 2.7m lengths with pre-punched holes at 112.5mm centres for screws which have been specifically developed for this application.
The screws fix the channel to the steel studwork without crushing the rigid insulation batts which can be between 25-60mm thick.
Ties simply clip into the WC27 Channel as masonry progresses.
This fast-track system, which can be used in a host of masonry cladding applications, utilises a comprehensive range of Wincro Channel ties, available from 75mm projection to suit different cavity widths.
Specific advice on spacing and length of ties required is available from Wincro's Technical Design Team.
