New plasma cutter with inbuilt compressor

Wilkinson Star has launched an inverter plasma cutting machine with an integrated industrial compressor for use where compressed air is not available.

Wilkinson Star Limited, the Worsley, Manchester based industrial equipment supplier and sole UK representative for welding equipment manufacturer CEA S.p.A, Italy has launched Plasma Cut 26i, a NEW single phase 50/60Hz, 3,7kVA, 16A fuse, IGBT based inverter plasma cutting machine with an integrated industrial compressor for use, where compressed air is not available.

The Plasma Cut 26i, which is generator compatible, has a clean cutting capacity up to 6mm and severance cutting up to 8mm, cutting any metal or perforated laminated sheet and is suitable for a wide industrial usage including, general fabrication, installation and maintenance teams, blacksmiths, automotive body repairers, agricultural engineers as well as plumbers and the building industry The current range is 10-25A with a 50% duty cycle at 40C of 20A and a 35% duty cycle at 40C of 25A.

Features of the equipment are its in built air compressor, digital electronic control, a pilot arc on the torch, with a safety switch so that the torch cannot be struck accidentally, over/under voltage protection and a control panel that is protected against accidental impacts.

It is lightweight at 18,5 kgs, small in size - 540mm(d) x 220mm (w) x 425mm (h), is CE marked and meets EN60974-1, IEC 60974-10 and EN60974-7 standards.
