Williams Refrigeration has developed a space saving, under-counter refrigeration range called the Under Broiler Counter (UBC), the ideal solution for pubs, steakhouses and catering facilities.

Williams Refrigeration has developed a space saving, under-counter refrigeration range called the Under Broiler Counter (UBC), the ideal solution for pubs, steakhouses and catering facilities where space is often limited The UBC7 model sits neatly under Falcon's compact 600mm chargrill and griddle and the longer UBC20 is designed to accommodate a wider range of chargrills and griddles

Available now and on show at Hotelympia 2004, the user-friendly UBCs from Williams are a perfect complement to sister company Falcon's popular medium duty chargrills and griddles from its market leading Dominator series.

Both the UBC7 and UBC20 enable chefs to quickly and easily remove food from the large refrigerated drawers under the chargrill or griddle and place directly onto the hob thus cutting down on the number of times the chef has to move round the kitchen, contributing to a less congested working environment, improved efficiency and time saving - an ideal solution for those kitchens where working/storage space is at a premium.

Safely refrigerating food at between +1/+4C, the UBCs are been designed with a hardwearing, tough stainless steel exterior and interior.

The UBC7 (H:546mm x D:773mm x W:1349mm) features one bank of two draws accommodating 1/1GN or 2/1 GN pans or containers, and the UBC20 (H:546mm x D:773mm x W:2012mm) is a larger model accomodating two banks of drawers.

Easy cleaning has been made possible with removable drawers and fittings together with detachable refrigeration cassette system allows easy servicing and maintenance and the swivel and brake castors ensure controlled mobility and positioning.

Both models offer an adjustable electronic controller with digital display and audible alarm and have been designed to perform in an ambient environment of up to 43C.

Falcon's high performance chargrills and griddles - from its medium duty Dominator range - provide the ideal complementary catering to the UBC7 and UBC20.

The perfect partner for the UBC7 is Falcon's new Radiant chargrill, with the UBC7 able to accommodate either 600, 900 and 1200mm chargrill or griddle.

The larger UBC20 has been designed to enable the user to accommodate a combination of chargrills and griddles.

The new range of radiant chargrills has been designed to meet the demands of the busy steakhouses and pubs combined with the ability to produce high quality food.

This is achieved by using a design of cast iron anti-twist radiants which ensure that the heat generated by the powerful gas burners is distributed evenly to the food, resulting in moist, succulent excellent tasting product.

One of the other key benefits of using a Falcon chargrill is the powerful low smoke engine.

Extensive testing has resulted in a system which produces the quality of product that increasingly demanding customers require without producing the level of smoke normally associated with chargrills.
