Worcester, part of the Bosch Group, has developed its most sophisticated control yet, the Text Display TD200 which joins the wide range of controls designed to complement Worcester boilers.

Joining its other six controls, the Text Display is designed for the Greenstar CDi range and offers intelligent control for the installer and the homeowner plus more programming options, making it both flexible and adaptable to the homeowner's lifestyle.

Via the text display the installer can access historical information on the running time in hours of heating and hot water operation.

The TD200 also allows the installer to input a service reminder plus their company name and contact details such as a telephone number.

This means that once the boiler has been operational for a pre-determined number of hours the text display will alert the homeowner of the need for a service, displaying the installers contact details.

All the homeowner has to do is simply make an appointment for a service.

In the unlikely event of a breakdown the Text Display can also display the boiler's 10 most recent faults which can save installer diagnosis time.

As well as the service reminder it gives the homeowner three on/off periods per day, seven day programming, dedicated advance buttons, 12 and 24 hour clock and a holiday function.

Intelligent controls mean it automatically sets the date and time and changes between British Summer Time and Greenwich Mean Time.

The Text Display can be mounted on the boiler or remotely, a growing option as more and more boilers are being installed in roof spaces, and is designed to be used in conjunction with the RT10 room thermostat, which monitors the actual and the required room temperature.

Used together the TD200 and the RT10 have the ability to increase or lower the flow rate, forcing the boiler to condense more and making it even more energy efficient.

Other control options in the range include the MT10 mechanical timer, the MT10RF mechanical RF thermostat, the DT20RF digital thermostat with twin programmable timer, the DT20 twin channel digital programmer, the DT10RF digistat and the DT10RF optimiser.
