Worcester Bosch extends i System boiler range

A Worcester Bosch Group product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 17, 2009

Worcester Bosch Group is to further extend its market leading range of condensing boilers with the introduction of two new outputs for the popular i System series.

At the heart of every Worcester boiler is either the WB3 or WB5 cast aluminium silicon heat exchanger, which has been installed in over one million boilers since its introduction in 2004.

It is this incredibly efficient unit that is responsible for converting 97% of the gas consumed by the Greenstar i System condensing boilers into heat for the heating and hot water system.

In comparison, older, non-condensing boilers achieve only around 78% efficiency, resulting in higher heating and hot water bills.

Worcester's Greenstar i System condensing boilers deliver this energy-saving performance by ingeniously recycling exhaust gases to extract and re-use the latent heat - a highly efficient use of energy which also significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

With compact dimensions of 710mm (h) x 400mm (w) x 330mm (d), Worcester's i System boiler weighs in at less than 28kg, making it suitable for one-man lift.

Currently available in 12kW and 24kW models, this August will see the introduction of two new models - 15kW and 18kW - added to create mid output options for the series.

Martyn Bridges, director of marketing and technical support for Worcester, said: "Our commitment to developing the best technology for our products remains our priority".

"The ongoing development of our product offering is key to us remaining at the forefront of the market".

"These new models will be available through our existing merchant chains".
