Wolf Systems staff complete TRA on-line training

Wolf is the first TRA member where employees have completed the Trussed Rafter Association's new on-line training course since its introduction in April.

Two in Wolf's pack complete pioneering course Anthony Masters and Craig Boneham, of Wolf Systems successfully complete the Trussed Rafter Association's (TRA) new on-line training course.

They now hold the TRA/Napier certificate along with four credits given under the Credit Rating scheme of SCQA and Napier University.

Wolf is the first TRA member where employees have completed the course since its introduction in April.

The on-line training course is designed to be completed from the home or the office.

Pitched at post A-Level/HNC standard, the course covers a basic introduction to trussed rafter design and ranges from fundamental vocabulary through to hones skills.

In total, there are eight sections to complete.

The most beneficial to Anthony and Craig included the responsibilities of the roof designer/building designer section, the loading calculations/action and reaction forces section, the understanding of axial forces and moments section and the different types of drawing used, explanation of axonometric and orthographic drawings section.

Craig comments, "The course was very helpful in explaining certain aspects of the design process".

"I found the course simple to navigate with easy-to-follow instructions".

Craig continues, "In particular, I enjoyed the crossword puzzles at the end of most of the sections".

"These were mentally stimulating, interesting and helped me to remember the terminology".

"In addition, the mind maps helped me think about the different types of design phases and processes.".
