Since exhibiting at the Hearth and Home show last year Winther Browne has won significant business in an increasingly competitive market.

Trading conditions this year have been challenging with many companies failing to meet sales targets resulting in redundancies among some major manufacturers.

Winther Browne, however, has managed to buck this trend by understanding what the consumer wants and providing its retailers with exceptional value products that sell whilst still offering good margins.

Renowned as a major supplier in the budget and mid range surrounds market, the family owned company has recently broadened its offering to include gas and electric fires in both contemporary and traditional designs.

Winther Browne's gas Hole in the Wall fires took last year's show by storm and at this year's show electric options will also be available.

New surrounds sets will be featured in limestone, sandstone and white marble to complement existing popular wooden and cast surrounds such as the Canterbury, Windsor and Cotham.

Also on display will be full depth and multiflue remote controlled convector fires in both Traditional and Contemporary designs along with a wide range of hearths and back panels.

Winther Browne also offers a tried and tested home delivery service for a nominal premium, backed up with a competent after sales advice for both gas and electric fires.

To cope with the increasing demand for their products the company has recently recruited 3 experienced fireside specialists dedicated to the Independent market.

Keith Humphrey heads up the Fireside division as National Fireside Manager.

Keith has a wealth of fireside experience with 8 years at Focal Point Fires and latterly at Valor in the position of Retail Multiple Controller.

Mathew Walker joins as National Account Manager.

Mathew has worked for Focal Point Fires, Deco and most recently at Valor in the position of National Account Manager.

Phil Dobson has been appointed as Sales Executive, his CV includes stints at Doherty Chimneys, Ronson and Willey, Merrydale Marble and Etchells.
