WRTL launch new lantern for amenity areas
WRTL's Logo Lantern helps urban designers to fulfil their planning aesthetics by combining four different lighting configurations within one stylishly modern amenity street lantern.
Alan Brummitt of Calderdale MBC, commented: "We selected the Arc lantern with our installer's Amey Highways.
It has outstanding technical performance with excellent uniformity and Double Ingress Protection (DIP) to IP 66.
Not only was it a high performance luminaire, that meets the contract specification but also more importantly meets the requirements of BS5489 part 2.
WRTL's stylish new Arc is available in two sizes, giving visual uniformity in all road types, and the aluminium castings utilise WRTL's extensive experience in marine lighting where long, corrosion-free life is paramount.
In addition, Arc is almost completely recyclable to meet forthcoming recycling requirements, making it future proof from this perspective.
Arc has specially designed, high performance optics offering excellent uniformity, a key factor in any lighting design.
In addition, Arc has double ingress protection with the entire body sealed to IP 66 and the optic sealed separately.
In order to avoid any potential condensation build-up after lamp heating and cooling, both compartments feature controlled breathing technology (CBT).
Safe access to the inside of the body is assisted by an auto-disconnect facility.
