WRTL launch new lantern for amenity areas

A WRTL Exterior Lighting product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 3, 2008

WRTL's Logo Lantern helps urban designers to fulfil their planning aesthetics by combining four different lighting configurations within one stylishly modern amenity street lantern.

The latest addition to the company's Amenity range, Logo's versatile design positions it as a cost effective, environmentally sound solution for a wide variety of locations.

High performance optics achieve G3 glare classification and total energy efficiency; while robust, corrosion and vandal resistant materials present a durable design with minimal maintenance required.

Flexible design features also make Logo an extremely attractive option on aesthetics alone.

"We have deliberately introduced a 'mix and match' element to enable architects, specifiers and designers complete artistic direction in the final look of the scheme," says WRTL Managing Director Anthony Stubbs.

"Customers can choose from clear or frosted bowls, multiple colour options and a choice of pole mounting positions.

"While a horizontal lamp mounting is best suited to residential areas; a decorative, vertical louvre makes an ideal accompaniment in amenity areas and an indirect uplighter is superb for creating special lighting effects".

For extra emphasis directional distribution can be installed for feature highlighting or a directional louvre can also be fitted to the horizontal model for directional glare reduction.

The choice of lamp types includes SON - T, CDO-TT, PL-T, PL-L, CPO-TW, CDM-T, Powerball, HC-T and HQI-T from 24W to 150W.

The IK10 impact and vandal resistant die-cast aluminium body comes in standard anthracite or other colours to order.

The corrosion resistant housing is fully recyclable, no glue is used in construction and all parts are demountable and recyclable.

IP65 or IP66 ingress protection ensures long life and reliable operation.

Maintenance access is made easy with a specially designed opening and toolless operation, and safe too with the added reassurance of Safe Maintenance Technology automatic power disconnection.
