Eco lighting and building controls from Calon

Calon Associates designs, develops and sells networked intelligent controls for lighting and room comfort under the 'Infranet Partners' brand.

Energy-saving lighting and building controls manufacturer Calon Associates was visited by His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent during his tour of the Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus.

Calon's Managing Director, Tim Sly, briefed the Duke on opportunities for saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions by using the company's advanced lighting and room controls in offices, schools, hotels and public buildings.

The Duke, who is patron of the British Computer Society, was also interested to learn about StratosphereTM, Calon's advanced graphical programming tool for intelligent building controls.

"It was a great honour to meet His Royal Highness and present our range of environmentally friendly, energy saving controls," said Tim Sly.

"The Duke was very knowledgeable about 'green' matters and was eager to learn how our advanced controls and software make buildings more energy efficient and reduce the whole-life cost of ownership.".
