QuickBase, the revolutionary modular conservatory base system, was unveiled at Interbuild '08, where it caught the attention of retrofit and new-build operators.

The system had won Interbuild's Best New-Build Product award when it was previewed in prototype form at last year's show.

Now after extensive field trials, it is being launched to the market and already aroused interest from all quarters at the five-day event.

"Conservatory manufacturers and installers showed a lot of interest," said QuickBase's Jonathan Thomas.

"But it also caught the eye of many housebuilders.

The ordinary conservatory base has hardly changed for decades so they immediately saw the benefits of such an innovation.

"We have several firm orders directly from the show and many more contacts to follow up".

QuickBase is up to three times quicker to install than a conventional base and can be put down in almost any weather.

It is completely modular, needs no wet mixing and the resulting floor has far better heat retention than concrete.

On other environmental issues, its beams and fittings include recycled plastics, it uses less mineral resources, creates less landfill and its usual one-day completion can bring significant vehicle fuel savings.

It is the only pile-based modular system to be considered insurable by a major UK-based underwriter.

QuickBase will install the system on request but also offers training for bigger companies with their own installation teams.
