Xerox, in partnership with Xenith Document Systems, will be demonstrating new wide format devices and software at the Construction Computing Exhibition at London's Barbican on November 3 and 4.

Xerox, in partnership with Xenith Document Systems, is to exhibit a range of wide format printer devices and software at the Construction Computing Exhibition at London's Barbican on November 3 and 4, which will benefit significantly architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) experts.

Occupying stand number six and, at 34m2 the largest stand at the event, Xerox will be demonstrating its 510 and 2260ij wide format printers and new software specifically designed for the construction industry in the UK.

"Designers need the best possible tools to visualise their concepts on the printed page and wide format devices on show at Xerox's stand will give AEC experts a significant competitive edge," said Richard Cloot, UK Wide Format Manager for Xerox.

"Higher speed production of images with clearer line definition fulfils a critical requirement for designers who rightly expect the highest possible quality from their printing devices." 510 with Xerox Scan System The Xerox 510 solution is well suited for AEC firms because it supports architectural sizes, uses a high-quality print engine, delivers the speed to handle peak demands, collates sets, including auto-rotating documents, and handles thick originals.

Single pixel lines, smooth shading and solid fills are especially critical to AEC firms, all strong points of the 510.

2260ij with Caldera The Xerox 2260ij is a colour and monochrome ink jet printer.

The Xerox 2260ij is aimed at markets where line quality is crucial.

In addition to the Xerox 2260ij operating in a colour mode the printer can also operate in a high speed black mode - for these markets, the 4-black option will be highly valued.

The product is also an excellent for industries where colour intensity and accuracy is vital.

Rapid ink changeover allows rapid production of line drawings, colour proofs, presentations and conceptual designs.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to see on show software specifically created for the construction industry, for the first time ever in the UK.

Xerox will be showing the new release of the Qindexer scanning/indexing software (formally QA Tool) for the first time.

Qindexer provides one simple interface for fast, efficient viewing, editing and indexing of hardcopy and electronic drawings.

Also, the Construction Computing Exhibition will provide the first chance to view the Qurator drawing issue software, which has been specifically developed by Xerox to address the document distribution requirements of the construction industry.

Qurator automates the drawing issue process, ensuring the right drawings are in the right place, at the right time.

By streamlining document distribution Qurator saves time in issuing documents, reduces unnecessary costs associated with working to outdated drawings and ultimately ensures projects are completed faster.
