XiTlight signage tested to British Standards

A XiTlight product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Oct 9, 2009

XiTlight maintained fire exit signage has now been independently tested to BS EN 62262:2002 requirements.

The standard measures the protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment, against external mechanical impacts (IK code).

XiTlight withstood an impact energy of 75 Joules and is accredited with a rating of IK10+75.

Road and street lighting is required to pass an impact test of 0.7 joules (IK05), making XiTlight's ten times more resistant to external impact than IK05.

XiTlight signage is front lit rather than back lit and is designed to provide more visible emergency exit lighting in adverse atmospheric conditions.

XiTlight is enclosed in a strong polycarbonate case with IP65 and IK10+75 and is suitable for installation in all public areas including transportation.
