Xpelair has extended its high efficiency Carbonlite range of ventilation solutions with a new generation of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) units.

Xcell 300 is available in three models, QV, QVW, QVI, and is suitable for three to five bedroom houses.

The range features a counterflow cell with up to 92 per cent efficiency, Specific Fan Power of 0.6w/l/s, meets EST Best Practice Compliance and has been specifically developed to allow installers greater flexibility during system design and installation.

Steve Mongan, head of marketing at Xpelair, commented: "Ease of installation, reliability, performance and green credentials are the key requirements when installers are selecting a ventilation system for a property".

"The Xcell 300 has been introduced to meet these needs and take it onto the next level.

Combining a highly insulated and lightweight structural foam body that can be wall or loft mounted, the Xcell 300 features G4 filters and EC ultra low energy motors.

A digital touch pad control at the front of the unit ensures that set up and commissioning are very simple.

"In addition, the easy turn front access panel allows for simple access to the cell, filter! s and motors for maintenance and replacement".

"For the end-user, the Xcell 300 can save up to 480kg of carbon dioxide each year compared to a traditional AC heat recovery system".

For maximum control, the QV model has a manual two-speed controller, the QVW model features a three-speed controller along with a winter defrost cycle, filter inspection and motor failure indicators, together with the facility to for automatic control of the unit by a combination of humidstats, CO2 or smoke sensors.

The QWI model is controlled by a time controller switch and has an identical range of automatic controls as the QVW, with the added benefit of a summer bypass, cold home guard and is computer and BMS compatible.
