Ventilation valve now with free area of 5000mm2
Specialist Danish valve manufacturer XTP Design has revised the award wining XTP2000 fresh air ventilation valve especially for the UK market.
Using the new cap, the valve which has a free area of 5000mm2, can now be fitted on sloping roofs as well as exterior walls.
The move follows an enquiry from architects Friend and Company, which is currently working on a London development and wanted to place the award-winning XTP2000 in a traditional 16degsloping slate roof.
"I was delighted and excited by the project when we received the enquiry and wanted to find some way to include XTP2000's - this is why I designed the new cap" said XTP managing director Torben Pryning.
The new cap fits around the external end of the XTP2000 ventilation valve, overlapping the ventilation gap to prevent rainwater getting in, without interfering with airflow.
Like the valve, the cap is available in copper, anodised aluminium or plain aluminium.
All XTP valves are available with pollen filters and, for areas that may experience drifting snow, storm filters.
XTP valves are available through the company's website (xtpdesign.com) or direct from Friendly Relations Limited.
