Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Dec 13, 2007

Yorke Construction have won record number of new contracts across a range of industry sectors including the health sector, education and property development in the South West.

Renovation works at a Gloucester-based surgery, the NHS hospital in Leckhampton and the Linton House Clinic builds on Yorke's vast experience in the demanding commercial and health sectors.

"We are extremely pleased with the first phase of work that Yorke Construction has undertaken for us in our renovation programme at Thirlestaine Court - meeting all agreed time scales and on budget," said Howard Crooks, clinical director and chief executive at the Cobalt Appeal Fund, Linton House Clinic.

"This has led to the completion of important preparatory works undertaken through Quattro, our design architects, in this key project building of our new prestigious breast cancer clinic to benefit women residing in Gloucestershire".

Yorke's long-standing status as a Preferred Contractor and Partner for the borough and city councils, also brought new build and refurbishments contracts for Gloucestershire schools, and beyond into Worcestershire and Wiltshire.

Commenting on recently completed renovations at Ellwood Primary School in Coleford, headmaster Tim Evans was delighted with the results.

"Yorke built new classrooms and carried out refurbishment work at Ellwood to an exceptional standard".

"School continued to run effortlessly alongside construction, and the project was completed on schedule".

"We were kept involved and informed at all stages of the build and had an excellent site manager who led a trustworthy and responsive team"".

""Renovation and construction work in the property development sector also continues to be one of our key growth areas".

"We are starting three new house conversions in the county," said Richard Yorke, managing director at Yorke Construction".

""This level of new business, in one month, exceeds all our expectations".

"Over the summer we have been investing in a stronger infrastructure to support this level of growth, including the team expansion with a new contracts manager and three new site managers," he added.

Since the summer flooding disaster in the county, Yorke has been involved in many repair projects helping commercial businesses and homeowners recover their properties from the extensive damage caused.
