Yeoman shield helps bring the NHS to life
Surface protection specialist Yeoman Shield, played its part in the reconstruction of an imitation NHS hospital by supplying a range of its wall and door protection products for the event.
A recent interior development involved bed head protection, an essential means to fortify wall surfaces and prevent damage to key medical services located behind the beds.
The LGI required a solution that would accommodate the gas and air supplies required for each patient, so that they weren't affected by the radiators already in place behind the beds.
To make sure this was achieved to the highest of standards, the hospital appointed the experts in surface protection, Yeoman Shield, to come up with the tailor-made solution they were looking for.
Yeoman Shield was able to utilise its vast experience in the hospital surface protection market to provide a bespoke solution to satisfy the demands of the brief.
The result was a specially designed version of the 200mm Protection Rail, complete with pre-formed core incorporating a heat absorbing liner, all fixed to custom-made spacer blocks to provide additional stand-off from the wall.
The solution ensured that the gas and air supply was conveniently accommodated for, without the bed head protection being affected by the rising heat from the radiators below.
Richard Good, contracts manager at Yeoman Shield says, "The LGI needed a specific solution to address an existing problem with the layout of its gas, air and heat supply on the wards.
Bringing the project to a swift completion, we were able to offer a value-added and cost-effective solution with minimum disruption to this busy hospital.".
