Zeta's sunFLOWER amenity light was awarded the honor due to its efficiency and dark sky friendliness.

Zeta Solar has been presented with an esteemed award from the British Astronomical Associations Campaign for Dark Skies for its Solar sunFLOWER Amenity Lights.

The Dark Skies Campaign aims to preserve and restore the beauty of the night sky against wasted light which destroys views of the stars.

The award commends lighting suppliers and locations which keeps light pollution to a minimum, shining only where and when it is needed.

Zeta's sunFLOWER amenity light was awarded the honor due to its efficiency and dark sky friendliness.

The lamp is focused down with minimal light escaping upwards, and can also be rotated to shine light in the most effective direction.

The units contain an integrated infra-red system allowing them to dim to minimal levels, but re-brighten when a pedestrian comes within 5 meters.

The sunFLOWER not only minimizes wasted light but is powered by solar, meaning it is completely self sufficient and sustainable.

Light pollution is a waste of resources, with millions of pounds worth of electricity wasted each year in the UK alone.

The Campaign for Dark Skies hopes others will follow the Zeta's examples leading to starry skies for all.
