Zeta Solar sunFLOWER amenity light

A Zeta Solar product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 8, 2008

Zeta Solar's sunFLOWER amenity light'S efficient Energy Controller is designed to optimize power capture from the integrated photovoltaic panel and monitor battery condition.

The high efficiency batteries are designed with a gloomy British winter in mind and can power the light for up to five months with no solar gain.

Using the integrated Passive Infrared sensor, the lighting level can be increased automatically when a pedestrian is within 5 meters, further saving energy and reducing light pollution.

The units run entirely on solar power, meaning they are independent for the national grid and carbon free.

They are ideal of difficult, off gird areas where lighting needs are often neglected leading to reduced safety and comfort.

The cost of installing grid connected amenity lighting can be huge.

Solar eliminates these costs, along with on-going energy bills, initial connection charges and annual connection checks.

The earth receives enough energy from the sun in one hour than it uses in a whole year, but currently solar production accounts for less than 0.01% of global demand.

Zeta harnesses the power from the sun and translates it into reliable, efficient lighting, brightening nights with no shading from carbon emissions.
