SF Detection launches Z10 series of gas alarms for domestic and leisure use

SF Detection, the consumer division of the global gas detection group Zellweger Analytics and the UK's number one manufacturer and supplier of domestic carbon monoxide and gas alarms, announce the launch of the new Z10 series of gas alarms to protect against potential gas leaks in domestic environments such as homes, caravans and boats.

This new range provides reliable warnings of flammable gas leaks with versions for both natural gas and LPG.

The alarms, available as mains powered (110-230VAC) or 12-24VDC, are fitted with a sensor that operates under variations of temperature and humidity and are designed to meet the stringent requirements of the European Standard for domestic gas alarms, EN50194.

The specially designed sensor and circuit reduce the risk of false alarms from non-dangerous fumes or gases that occur, for example, when cooking or spraying aerosols.

The Z10 boat alarms with remote sensors are designed to give an early warning of LPG leaks on boats and come in single or dual sensor versions, which can operate from a 12-24VDC power supply.

The six-metre remote sensor cable allows leaks to be monitored in the bilge or at floor level to detect gas before it reaches explosive levels.

All models are equipped with high and low level alarms that give early warnings of potential dangers via a flashing light and loud 85db buzzer.

All units in the Z10 range are supplied with relay outputs as standard for connecting to gas shut off valves and control systems and can be interlinked for added safety.
