Zetes to open new subsidiary in Italy

Zetes is now extending its coverage to the Italian market by opening new sales and support offices in Milan.

A Pan-European leader in Auto-ID systems' integration with a direct presence in 8 countries, Zetes (Euronext Brussels: ZTS) is now extending its coverage to the Italian market by opening new sales and support offices in Milan.

Zetes Srl will originally concentrate in voice recognition solutions and services.

Zetes Srl is a 100% owned subsidiary of Zetes Industries.

Zetes sees many opportunities for voice recognition solutions, especially in warehouse picking solutions, since voice recognition brings both significant productivity improvement and data accuracy improvement.

To make the most of voice recognition technology, Zetes has strategically invested in an international Voice dedicated team and competence centre, Zetes 3i Voice, concentrating expertise and developing value-added solutions (Zetes 3i Voice solutions) for use throughout its entire organisation.

As a result, Zetes has taken a strong leadership in the European Voice solutions' market, with more than 90 Voice customers (such as Metro, Netto, Systeme U, Globus, Kruidvat/A.S.Watson, DHL Solutions_), totalling around 160 installations and 5000 terminals.

These solutions are mainly using technology and products developed by Vocollect, the global leader in Voice-Directed Work.

Zetes has been appointed as Global Partner for Europe by Vocollect.

"Until now, Zetes was only serving the Italian market indirectly, via local partners".

Zetes Industries puts a working capital of 100.000 euro at the disposal of its Italian subsidiary.
