ZOTEKF-30 LS, a new foam based on KYNAR PVDF fluoropolymer resin is claimed to meet many high performance sealing and insulation needs in the building industry.

The foam combines many of the properties of the original PVDF polymer with low weight and outstanding thermal insulation properties.

Manufactured by Zotefoams plc of Croydon, England, ZOTEK F-30 LS meets the requirements of the major International test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials; ASTM E 84 flame spread and smoke density test) with an outstanding Class A rating of 10/30, proving that the material possesses exceptional flame retardant, low smoke properties.

(ASTM E84 also has a number of other designations, such as UL 723, NFPA 255, or UBC 8-1.) The lightweight foam also exhibits outstanding UV and chemical resistance, ensuring its longevity and reducing the replacement interval in applications where retrofitting may be difficult or disruptive.

Being closed cell in nature, ZOTEK F-30 LS also has excellent thermal insulation properties and outstanding moisture resistance.

It is exceptionally compliant making it the ideal material for a range of sealing and insulation applications such as moisture seals, door and vent seals, eaves filler blocks etc, especially where environmental conditions are particularly harsh and long service life is essential.

ZOTEK F foam is available in a range of densities and stiffness.

It is supplied in sheet form and can be fabricated in a similar way to PE and EPDM foams.

It can be sawn and split to form sheets and tapes, adhesive backed, profile cut to form filler blocks and thermoformed into either simple or complex shapes.
