Our product portfolio also offers a wide range of products, ranging from fire-resistance to thermal insulation, and from sound reduction to safety.
Glass is distributed to our customers directly from St.Helens or through our network branches countrywide, either as stock or as bespoke processed products manufactured to meet their needs.

Pilkington United Kingdom Limited has resolved a dispute with Uniglass Limited over its UK Registered Design Number 2090474 for Pilkington Texture Glass Contora™ patterned glass.
Pilkington has launched a new dual coated glass product which combines the self-cleaning properties of its Activ range with the solar control benefits of its SunShade offering. Pilkington Activ SunShade has been specially designed for large glazed areas such as conservatories and is suitable for use in both the roof and verticals. The glass’ solar control coating helps keep interiors cool while still maintaining optimum light transmittance.
The new coater at NSG’s Cowley Hill plant has reached a significant milestone by producing over 2.5 million square metres of Pilkington K Glass S. Launched in October 2011 the low-emissivity, soft coated glass has been designed to ensure customers save energy and save money on fuel bills. Pilkington K Glass S retains the same performance whether it is used in an annealed or toughened format.
Ed Miliband discussed Labour’s plans to freeze energy costs during a recent visit to the NSG Group new glass coater at Cowley Hill which has produced over 3 million m2 of Pilkington K Glass energy efficient glass. Matt Buckley, MD at Pilkington United Kingdom Limited spoke with Mr Miliband about the disappointing uptake of the Green Deal and the need to stimulate the UK market for energy-saving products, such as energy-efficient windows.
Open spaces charity, The Box Moor Trust, recently specified the Pilkington Planar structural glazing system for its new centre in Hertfordshire. Pilkington Planar was used in conjunction with the company’s Suncool coated solar control glass and Optifloat float glass. Pilkington Planar offers safety, stability and flexibility, enabling architect to create entire structures from glass.
