JCB at Hillhead 2012
JCB will demonstrate products for the quarrying and aggregates industries, plus the UK launch for models from its heavyline and compact ranges.
JCB 457 WLS

JCB 457 working in a quarry
The new 457 model, which replaces the 456 at the top of the JCB wheeled loading shovel range, will be equipped with a Stage IIIB (Tier 4 Interim) compliant engine.
This offers:
- increased power and torque
- reduced fuel consumption.
- Improved transmission options and upgraded axles
- robust styling combine with a revised interior
- a faster, more productive machine.
New Tracked Excavators

JCB’s JS 360 excavating a trench
All of JCB’s tracked excavators including the new JS360, JS260 and JS220 are significantly improved: new cab, improved styling, plus major efficiency increases across the range
Thanks to the incorporation of advanced hydraulic technology, with optimised pump settings, revised spool configuration and the introduction of a revised electronic control system, fuel efficiency improves by 11% on the JS220 and by 8% on the JS260 and JS360
The JS260 and JS330 are also two of the first JS models to move up to Stage IIIB (Tier 4 Interim) compliance - achieved using Isuzu engines and by incorporating a variable geometry turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel particulate filter.
New styling gives the JCB JS excavator range an even more rugged appearance while the brand new cab has been developed in response to customer feedback to give increased visibility, comfort and protection – with ROPS and FOPS protection.
8026 CTS Mini Excavator
At the opposite end of the JCB excavator line-up, the 2.7 tonne JCB 8026 CTS offers customers compact design and increased digging capacity.
The machine uses a dedicated boom and dipper arm, offering greater digging and lifting performance than competitive models.
Increased efficiency allows the 8026 CTS to use the same engine family as the 8025 ZTS, with a similar torque output, but with a lower power rating, providing a 14% efficiency gain.
New Skid Steers
JCB will also show one of its latest new generation skid steer loader models which use a radial lift version of the JCB Powerboom single-sided lift arm, providing maximum digging capability and reach.
In addition to best in class fuel efficiency, a 46% larger, tilting cab brings multiple benefits. These include: a full height side door for maximum operator safety, industry leading serviceability and 60% better visibility than competitors.
