An impressive refurbishment project for Stoke-based, worldwide online gambling retailer bet365 has been completed by Novus Property Solutions.
Established in 2000, the betting company has emerged as one of the globe’s biggest online gambling names, with a workforce in excess of 4,000.
Last year saw bet365 open a new purpose-built office in the Staffordshire city to accommodate business operations. As well as commercial office space, the company estate also features residential properties to house company employees from abroad.
This summer saw Novus Property Solutions take on the 12-week refurbishment project for bet365, where a pair of industrial units near the company’s new office were transformed to create one large warehouse area, with adjoining workshops.
Designed by local architects Wood Goldstraw Yorath, the project saw Novus employed as the main contractor.
The works featured the removal of existing loadbearing partitions and floor, alongside the construction of new partition walls, timber flooring and ceilings, as well as carrying out drainage, electrical and mechanical works plus plastering before installing all new fixtures and fittings and redecorating.
As the work was extremely plentiful, along with tight deadlines to consider, numerous different trades had to work in tandem with each other.
The Novus team intricately co-ordinated with all the trades to ensure works ran as efficiently as possible on site, to guarantee the deadline was met.
Members of the MCRMA, the trade association for the metal cladding and roofing industry, had an exclusive opportunity to explore and discuss the changes affecting the construction sector at the first of the association’s roadshow events hosted by Siderise at its HQ and manufacturing facility in South Wales.
