REHAU has been nomination as a finalist at this year’s BusinessGreen Leaders Awards, in light of its strategic approach towards sustainability.
The awards honour leading green businesses nationwide and recognise the incredible progress the green business community has made in recent times.
It celebrates businesses, NGOs, public sector bodies and individuals throughout 25 different categories, with rigorous judging by a panel of sustainability professionals and green economy leaders.
This year, REHAU’s third annual Sustainability Report was entered towards the Sustainability Report of the Year category, which recognises a business’ ability to effectively distil and promote its sustainability performance.
Finalists in this category have created reports with innovative and novel communications techniques, supported with transparent environmental reporting and ambitious green goals.
REHAU’s third annual Sustainability report, available for the first time in a digital-only format, outlines its new ‘Fit for the Future’ strategy, explaining how the business will achieve its ambitious goals to become more sustainable by 2020.
Stephen Beresford, Head of Marketing Communications at REHAU said the company ‘very excited’ that the report had received recognition on a prestigious platform.
“As a business, we have always championed sustainable manufacturing over many years and regard sustainability and recycling as a strategic business objective, and we are humbly proud that our efforts have been recognised,” he said.
REHAU’s easy-to-read Sustainability Report is an insightful overview of the company‘s values, as well as its entrepreneurial activities, ground-breaking pilot projects and resource-friendly technologies under development.
The digitalisation of the report is reflective of REHAU’s belief that sustainability and digitalisation are inseparable challenges for companies working in the modern business context.
The winner will be announced at the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards on Wednesday 27 June at The Brewery in London.
BusinessGreen Leaders Awards is a great platform to celebrate projects, individuals, teams and organisations who are successfully redefining what it means to be a successful green business.
