REHAU is part of a global polymer group manufacturing PVC-U window systems, underfloor heating, heating and plumbing pipework, cable management and renewable energy solutions for the UK and Irish construction markets.
It offers a solutions based approach – bringing together compatible products from across its range to offer energy efficient schemes which comply with the latest Building Regulations and sustainability codes, whilst at the same time minimising costs.
Three pillars of energy efficiency form the basis of the solutions and design support which REHAU offers to architects, builders, contractors and developers.
The first is to reduce energy losses by maximising the thermal efficiency of the school building fabric with PVC-U windows and composite curtain walling systems with Uw-Value of just 0.8W/m2K.
The second is to distribute energy efficiently using water based surface heating and cooling solutions including underfloor heating, wall and ceiling heating and concrete core tempering.
And the third is to generate heat efficiently both by combining these heating and cooling systems with ground source energy solutions and heat pumps and utilising the REHAU AWADUKT Thermo ground – air heat exchanger to deliver a low carbon cooling solution.
REHAU has its UK headquarters in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire and a network of regional sales offices in London, Slough, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.

The first REHAU FMS remote access control system has been installed in a prestigious North London home, providing individual temperature management in every heating zone plus on-demand reporting of heating and cooling statistics. REHAU’s FMS internet interface control system offers users cost-effective control of their underfloor heating or cooling system via Bluetooth, smart phone, tablet or PC.
REHAU has introduced a new RIBA-approved CPD covering the specification of doors, windows and curtain walling as part of an energy efficient project. The CPD is entitled Fenestration: Windows, Doors and Curtain Walling and explores the pros and cons of the different material types available in the UK, which materials suit which project type best and design considerations. Building Regulations are also covered in the new CPD, alongside colour and finishing options.
REHAU joined with BRE and Solar Windows to provide an insight into the requirements of Passivhaus principles and the potential benefits in terms of lower energy costs. The successful seminar was attended by representatives from local architects, surveyors, councils and health authorities from across North Wales.
A new brochure from Rehau offers fabricators, installers and specifiers further details of the Nordic Design Plus flush fitting window system, designed for new build housing projects and as a replacement for timber windows in cottages and stone built properties.
REHAU designed a bespoke corner section for cable trunking to ensure desks at a London-based consolidated laboratory company achieved a flush fit.
