Morley-IAS provide fire safety for college campus

Morley-IAS

Integrated ZXSe life safety system

Morley-IAS integrated ZXSe life safety system provides full protection for Westminster College's new Paddington Green campus.

Working with MandE contractor, Rotary Southern, Morley-IAS distribution partner, CHC Systems proposed a solution incorporating five networked Morley ZX5Se panels in the seven-storey building complex.

'With such a prestigious development, it was important that this was supported by a well-established and trusted fire protection solution,' confirms CHC Systems' Denis Foley.

Rotary Southern has a long-standing working relationship with CHC Systems and Morley-IAS equipment.

'As a result, the company had complete confidence that the installation would be trouble-free and passed by Building Control and the local fire officer first time'.

he adds.

'Also, the solution was ideally-suited to an environment which caters for a wide range of activities on a daily basis'.

Together with other college buildings in Westminster, Maida Vale and Queen's Park, the state-of-the-art new campus development welcomes more than 7,000 students and adults through its doors each year.

The campus also includes community facilities such as a cafe with an outdoor terrace, conference facility and performance studio.

Keith Minster, Morley-IAS business manager, UK and Ireland, believes that the Paddington Green installation demonstrates how Morley-IAS equipment is ideally-suited to busy educational environments.

'The cost-effective ZXSe range of fire panels offers relevant and flexible functionality, is highly robust and simple to integrate with other building management systems,' he says.

'Equally importantly, Morley-IAS panels are highly intuitive, making them easy for on-site staff to control rapid and safe evacuation in an ever-changing environment involving a wide range of users, including young children, students, adults and commercial businesses'.
