Wohr delivers slimline parking for tight spaces
Wohr Parking Systems
Slimparker 557 system
Wohr Parking Systems has launched a fully automatic car parking system, designed to provide parking on multiple levels within narrow limits.
The Slimparker 557 system was launched in January at this year's BAU exhibition in Munich.
Requiring a width of 2.6m - effectively a single car width - the unit is well suited for city centre and high density urban environments.
It provides an effective parking system between residential or commercial buildings, utilising narrow spaces that may otherwise be completely redundant.
The Slimparker 557 is available with one to six levels of parking, providing up to 23 car spaces with a maximum weight capacity of 3.2 tonnes per place.
The ground level lid can be covered with a wide range of landscaping materials to blend with the surrounding area including: pavers; stone; concrete and grass.
When in the lowered position, the system may be driven over.
Berry Systems has installed its System 3 perimeter safety barriers at the award-winning Cheshire Oaks Marks and Spencer Car Park. The column mounted barrier system uses tensioned steel rods and infill mesh panels to provide impact resistance to BS EN 1991 -1-1 2002. System 3 allowed architect Aukett Fitzroy to maximize the available parking space due to its zero footprint.
Berry Brisafe wire rope safety barrier, installed at the new East Marketgait car park in Dundee, is an perimeter protection system for new build car parks that can be fitted with in-fill panels which can be colour co-ordinated to almost any specification. Brisafe is a practical, attractive perimeter barrier with independently tested safety performance. Berry Systems also installed traditional vehicle safety barriers featuring their spring steel posts and Flexi-Posts.
The Protecta-Clad barrier system from Berry Systems is providing spring steel mounted safety barriers for perimeter edge protection at a two storey concrete car park for the new Thames Valley Police Base at Taplow in Berkshire. Combining barriers, the cladding and the fencing saved components and installation time. TTSP Architects also specified a Vision 38 perforated aluminium cladding and Securegard 358 mesh fencing for this project.
Townscape Products, perimeter security specialist, showcased its range of hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) products including the new Performa-Cast PAS 68 bollard sleeve designed to fit over existing or new PAS 68 bollards. Manufactured in engineering grade polyurethane cast, offering aesthetic benefits of cast iron combined with enhanced performance of steel plus more durable.
