WPL makes improvements to drum filter cloths
WPL Clic-Clo Microscreen
WPL has enhanced its Microscreen drum filter cloths with cost and time saving features for wastewater treatment plants.
The Clic-Clo Microscreen is built on a click-in, click-out principle.
Microscreen cartridges are arranged in segments along the filter drum length, and the cloth is attached to each segment, rather than to the actual drum structure.
The system can be provided with a range of interchangeable cloth cartridges from 20-100 microns and each segment can be removed individually.
This lengthens the lifespan of the filter cloths, further enhanced by the absence of chemicals usually required for cleaning/backwash operations in most other systems.
Used on Municipal Wastewater treatment plants as permanent or temporary additions to existing process units, the WPL Clic-Clo Microscreen is designed for tertiary treatment of effluent containing excess suspended solids.
The design of the drum filter maximises the surface area of the filtration cloth to achieve high removal efficiency with low operating costs.
The filter cloths for the Microscreen can now be provided as Polyamide or Stainless Steel cloth, and WPL supplies a one-size fits all cartridge model.
