Offering quick installation and an authentic slate-effect, next generation SlateSkin is the freshest enhancement Eurocell has created for Equinox, its innovative tiled conservatory roof system.
In tandem, SlateSkin and Equinox comprise the most advanced system currently available.
Now with ‘multi-course’ tiles built in to each sheet, the SlateSkin GRP system reduces time spent positioning and nailing tiles, with zero compromise on quality or visuals.
Meanwhile, the lightweight construction means the roof pitch can be set anywhere from just 5 degrees to 35 degrees.
SlateSkin is the only tile system tested down to a 5 degree pitch, so is therefore perfect for lean-to projects, which make up to 25% of all British conservatories.
With a 25 year guarantee, the SlateSkin sheet-tiling system is durable and considerably quicker to fit than other conservatory tile roofing methods.
Typically, two operatives can save a whole day when compared to fitting Tapco tiles and when combined with the Equinox system, it meets the requirements of BS 476 Part 3:2004 for the External Fire Performance of Roofs, the classification for fire penetration.
Using Eurocell’s technical support, installers can be assured they are getting the right fit straight away, every single time. Once all the dimensions have been received, Eurocell engineers create all required components, including the tile sheets, hip end caps and ridge and hip top cap using state-of-the-art equipment.
SlateSkin is the latest complementary product developed for the Equinox roofing system, which features solid insulation panels integrated in the structure for outstanding thermal efficiency; roughly better than an ‘A’ rated window by tenfold.
What it concludes to is a more hospitable living environment which is cheaper to heat or cool, as it is insulated from the ambient temperatures outside, making it cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
Equinox kits offer a ‘one box solution’, with SlateSkin sheets pre-cut to size and numbered for easy identification and installation. On top of all thus, the sealants and fixings required to install the roof to the best standard are also feature in the box.
