SMARTair Knob Cylinder featuring Double Reader launched by Abloy

  • 30 Oct 2014

Joining Abloy’s range of keyless locking solutions, the cylinder requires an RFID card to enter and exit a building, can be incorporated into any SMARTair system and is easy to install as it doesn’t require drilling or cabling.

The battery powered cylinder lasts up to two years and provides a complete single door control solution that operates as an electronic master key system, suitable for installation by people with very little electrical experience.

All four components – power supply, controller, radio-frequency identification reader, and locking unit are combined in the handle set, reducing the costs that would normally be associated with installing a wired online system.

The cylinder can be used alongside the existing range of SMARTair technology

Secure and simple to install

SMARTair technology offers a simple installation process and provides a high level of safety for tenants of a building due to the added security measure that the Double Reader Knob Cylinder ensures.

Abloy in the UK is marking its 50th anniversary this year with a series of launches, including the recent opening of the Abloy Showroom at The Building Centre in London.

Abloy UK’s product range includes electrical locking, cylinder, padlocks and door operators offering secure solutions that comply with current legislations and are trusted by organisations throughout the UK, Ireland and international markets.
