Four regional seminars are taking place in London, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester, with the half-day sessions focusing on issues within the timber frame trade and specifically targeting housing associations, contractors and house builders.
The benefits of constructing using timber frame, the materials history, as well as sources of timber products used for building, will be explored during the seminars, which will be delivered by BM TRADA’s frameCHECK team.
Delegates will be advised on construction techniques including solid wood, cross laminated timber; acceptance by insurers and warranty providers; the range of timber frame building that can be constructed; and maintenance issues and costs for achieving a quality build.

The Wood for Good campaign promotes the timber industry in the UK and promotes the suitability and sustainability of wood as a building material to the construction and logistics sectors, as well as professionals such as architects and design engineers.
Recent case studies will be included in the training and concerns surrounding wood specific applications will be covered during the day.
