Wienerberger expands its extensive Sandtoft clay roof tiles with an additional range of five new colours developed to meet the increasing demand for affordable clay roof tiles. The new clay tiles are manufactured at Broomfleet, where Sandtoft has extensive clay reserves situated directly alongside the manufacturing site.
Project Study looks at the impact of John Brash Cedar Shingles for the roof covering on energy efficient homes, at the award-winning St Katherine’s Field development in Cradley. The Cedar Shingles, installed by roofing contractor Roofcraft, were specified by IE Developments working closely with their architects, Architype, who specialise in the design of highly energy efficient and eco-sensitive buildings based upon PassivHaus principles.
The new range of Fakro flat roof windows, including clear and opaque polycarbonate domes or dome-free options, offer top thermal qualities, with energy-efficient U6 or U8 triple and quadruple-glazed units available to provide a glazing U-value as low as 0.3 W/m2K. An internal pane of P2A anti-burglary glass also provides an additional level of security.
Glazing Vision is developing its European presence by enhancing its distributor network in Spain and the Netherlands. The company has designed and installed rooflights in Gibraltar, Amsterdam and Valencia this year and recently took part in a building show in Lisbon through its Portuguese distributor. The rooflight manufacturer is currently working on two orders for its USA West Coast distributor in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
VMZINC add Pigmento Brown to its pre-weathered facade and roofing system colour range, providing a durable scratch resistance material particularly suited for new build or renovation projects in rural environments. It shares the attributes of the other Pigmento colours (red, green and blue) and is durable, recyclable, resistant to marking and available in the same dimensions and lead times.
