Vinyl safety flooring fitted in school dining hall

  • 1 Apr 2015

The vinyl safety flooring was arranged to compliment the dining hall’s bright furniture, which matches the school’s branding

The Sutton Academy in St. Helen’s was recently refurbished; its dining area was renovated as part of the project.

More than 400 square metres of Polyflor’s Polysafe Verona PUR flooring was installed to create a stylish and safe area for the school’s pupils to dine in.

The vinyl safety flooring was specified in the shades Dolphin Grey 5203 and Biscotti 5212 to create a neutral backdrop for the dining hall’s bright green and purple benches.

Borders were cut into the floor design onsite to create separate walkways and seating areas.

Constellations of Nottingham, a refurbishment company specialising in the educational sector, were responsible for the installation.

Verona: safe, sustainable and recyclable

The Polysafe Verona flooring is manufactured with Polyflor’s PUR polyurethane reinforcement, making it easy to clean and maintain.

The flooring has been designed to provide wet slip resistance in high-traffic areas.

It has been certified to the EN13845 European Standard for safety flooring for this reason.

The range has also met the requirements of the 50,000 cycles abrasion test standard and achieved 36 on the Pendulum wet test.

As it contains reused material, the flooring can be recycled using the Recofloor ‘take back’ scheme for vinyl flooring.
