Based in South Godstone, Surrey, Govette Windows has been manufacturing steel windows, doors (and more) from its factory for almost 30 years. The SWA member supplies both domestic and commercial customers right across the South-East region, covering Greater London and the surrounding counties.
In addition to providing steel windows and doors, the company also manufactures a huge range of steel internal partitions, steel fire-rated doors and door screens, steel sliding doors, steel shaped windows and doors.
Govette offers a complete service, from initial on-site consultation, design and survey right through to manufacture, delivery and installation. All its products are purpose-built, so can be made to match existing windows and doors or to fit a unique design.
Everything the company makes is designed to meet all the necessary British Standard requirements.
For domestic customers, the company offers:
– The BFRC ‘B’ energy-rated ‘Parliament’ range of steel windows and doors which are designed to mimic customers’ original fenestration
– SMW (Standard Metal Window) sections. The backbone of domestic steel windows for decades and mainly used in conservation or historic buildings
For commercial customers, Govette offers steel windows, screens and doors in three profiles:
– SMW (Standard Metal Window) sections.
– W20 steel window and door sections. These are highly versatile and are used in both domestic and commercial applications
– W40 steel window and door sections. Only available to Steel Window Association members, these are slightly thicker, can be triple glazed to improve thermal properties and can be manufactured in larger sizes
Made to order, all the company’s steel partition screens are very slim and strong. They enable the creation of large indoor glazed areas which allow light to penetrate the building.
The company is a member of the Steel Window Association (SWA), a trade organisation which represents the great majority of UK steel window and door manufacturers, ranging in size from the smallest craft-based businesses through to large, multi-site companies.
The SWA supports its member companies with a wide-ranging service relating to product development, market research and promotion. This in turn helps Govette not only ensure that it is at the forefront of product development, but also helps the company maintains exceptional standards when it comes to manufacture and installation.
Govette is a member of all the main UK certifying bodies. This includes the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme (FENSA), the self-certification body that ensures all windows meet the requirements of the relevant building regulations. In addition, it is a member of the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC). The BFRC certificates its windows and doors to part L (thermal insulation) requirements.
The company has a dedicated team with over thirty five of experience in the industry. Its aim is to provide the best quality service to ensure its customers are 100% satisfied 100% of the time.
