Market leader in field control devices Sontay‘s new gateway solutions are proof as to why the company has been held in such high regard for so long.
The SC-Gateways provide direct Building Management Systems (BMS) integration for air conditioning units (AC) via the smart communication protocols, Modbus and BACnet, saving system integrators all important time and hassle.
Sandy Damm, MD at Sontay, commented: “The building controls industry is moving forward at a rapid pace with the focus on connectivity and interoperability.
“The launch of these new Intesis gateways mean system integrators and installers can easily assimilate the AC with the automation and building management systems as well as communicate with other HVAC equipment.
“It simplifies the installation process for those working on commercial buildings, hotels and even schools. We’re delighted to offer our customers’ the tools to make their working lives easier.”
The Intesis gateways help improve the integration time of a number of AC brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi and Toshiba into BMS, SCADA or EMS system via Modbus or BACnet.
For Modbus, a common register map can be used across the range, no matter what the manufacturer is, offering a speedy and effortless integration.
The same applies for BACnet; the range provides all the necessary BACnet objects to integrate the AC units into projects. Additional ranges for Fujitsu, LG, Hitachi, Samsung, Hisense or Panasonic are also available on request.
The SC-Gateways are perfect for expansion or retrofit projects, as well as new build. System integrators can easily integrate on/off, mode, setpoint, ambient temperature, fan speed as well as error alerts.
The gateways also allow for extra integration so elements such as number of hours, window status, remote lock and outside temperature can be monitored.
