Accessible washroom from Clos-o-Mat

Accessible washroom specification enhanced with FastrackCAD offering

  • 14 Sep 2015

To assist designers with the initial specification of accessible washrooms in buildings, Clos-o-Mat has added FastrackCAD to its series of specification options.

According to Papworth Trust’s ‘Disability in the UK’, over two million Britons with mobility problems have experienced difficulties when attempting to access bathroom facilities in buildings.

As stated in the Equality Act, built environments must be adapted to accommodate disabled people before they experience any problems. Providers are responsible for getting it right, which can be costly if the initial specification is written incorrectly.

Therefore, it is important that accessible washrooms and toilet facilities are specified correctly at the design stage.

Enhanced accessible washroom specification

To help designers with the initial specification of accessible bathrooms, Clos-o-Mat has extended its offering of specification options to include FastrackCAD.

CAD drawings and technical specification clauses for Changing Places facilities, hygiene rooms and accessible toilets can now be downloaded via the online resource.

A series of drawings can also be accessed via NBS and RIBA Product Selector. Clos-o-Mat’s website features an additional raft of room layouts and white papers, written to provide extra design guidance.
