The company carried out electrical, plumbing, roofing, and plastering work, kitchen and bathroom installations, as well as painting and decorating on the homes, which were all designed with light fittings at a lower height and with room for stair lifts to accommodate disabled people.
The Code for Sustainable Homes was followed by the team throughout construction, with waste management strategies and the installation of low energy lighting and products all adhered to in order to ensure sustainability.
Novus closely followed the Considerate Constructors Scheme to ensure that local residents were kept informed at every stage of the project, as the work was carried out on a small site around existing homes.
Efficient building method and logistical strategies were implemented in order to complete the work in the allocated time scale, producing quality affordable housing to meet local demand.
