Aggregate Industries extends innovative Lafarge Cement range

  • 31 May 2017

Aggregate Industries has extended its packed product portfolio with the addition of six new products to its Lafarge Cement collection.

Over the past 12 months, Aggregate Industries has invested in a portfolio of innovative cement products, challenging the UK cement market’s tendency toward tradition. Through a process of research and development, in conjunction with builders and builders’ merchants, its Lafarge Cement range has been designed to offer cement products that provide real solutions for its customers.

The company currently produces 1.7 million bags of cement each month, ensuring that it can provide a reliable supply across the UK.

The Lafarge Cement collection now includes Concrete Mix and Postmix; both products are premixed applications, comprising a blend of cement and aggregates.

Also premixed, the range’s new Mortar Mix is a blend of cement, lime and aggregates. It has been developed for laying all kinds of bricks and blocks.

Other additions include the Super White Cement, which offers a light, natural-looking concrete. The product does not include any pigments, and can be used for traditional nominal mixes for general applications. It can also be used with coloured pigments if required.

The new Sulfate Resistant Portland fly ash cement boasts a high sulfate resistance; it is recommended for use when enhanced durability is required, or when working below ground level.

Hydrated Lime, which is high in calcium, non-hydraulic and hydrated, is the final new addition. The product is a fine, dry powder that has been developed to lighten and brighten mortar.
