With the new ErP Regulations demanding energy efficient upgrades to commercial ventilation systems, Airflow Developments is encouraging contractors to replace the fans instead of the complete systems.
Earlier this year, the next level of European Legislation was introduced. It places a focus on the sustainability of industrial fans; regulations have been set to ensure that the ErP Directive’s minimum energy efficiency requirements are adhered to.
Airflow is encouraging those who are responsible for upgrading commercial ventilation systems in retail, leisure and office environments to remember that it is not necessary to replace VAV units, fan coils and fan assisted chilled beams in the majority of cases.
Alternatively, facilities managers and contractors should consider upgrading to EC Centrifugal Industrial fans. Offering quiet operation and reduced energy costs, the ErP complaint fans can be installed quickly and easily.
Airflow offers a range of Single Inlet and Double Inlet EC Centrifugal Industrial fans, which have been manufactured from mild steel. Utilising 80% less energy than their AC fan precursors, the fans can achieve 165 l/s to 1200 l/s and over 700 Pascal’s.
By replacing the fan instead of the system, contractors can save time and money.
Installing radiators in a live environment poses unique challenges for the installer, which are amplified in care-cantered environments, such as hospitals, as Contour explain here…
