Apeer joins the Glass and Glazing Federation

Apeer, the company behind the award-winning Lumi frameless window and door system, has become the latest company to join the Glass and Glazing Federation as a Member.

The manufacturer was welcomed into GGF Membership by GGF President Andrew Glover at this year’s FIT Show at the Telford International Centre.

Launched in 2015, the Lumi system features ‘edge to edge’ triple glazing that is structurally bonded to a glass fibre reinforced profile. The system was named the ‘best new product’ at the prestigious G15 Awards.

Apeer Director, Asa McGillian, commented: “We are pleased to join the GGF at this time with so much going on in the market on the technical and legislative front.

Our aim is to get involved with the GGF specialist technical groups particularly in areas such as toughened glass and insulating glass units. We look forward to using the GGF’s technical resource and sharing and gaining technical knowledge at members meetings.”

Nigel Rees, GGF Group Chief Executive added: “We were happy to welcome Apeer into Membership and I am sure they will not only bring a lot to the Federation but will also get great benefit from being part of the industry’s main trade body.”
