ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions has announced some big reductions for its popular DC200 and DC300 rack and pinion door closers, in packaging and price.
Customer feedback has led to the creation of two new models: the DC200-2 and DC300-2.
Both have 60 per cent less packaging and come in silver and stainless steel finishes, giving customers greater variety.
Inevitably, the packaging reduction has reduced its environmental impact but, as well as this, it has also lowered the price to customers without reduction in product specification and quality.
Compliant with the recently updated BS 8300 standards for low opening forces, they are also CE marked and Certifire approved.
David Hindle, Head of Door Closer Sales, commented: “We knew we had best-in-class performance, but wanted to know how we could further improve our DC200 and DC300 door closer offering.”
By responding to customer feedback, he said they have ‘dramatically reduced’ the packaging for the units, allowing the price to be reduced.
“We are always on the lookout for ways to improve our product and service offering, and these steps have done exactly that. You spoke and we listened,” he added.
