Sadolin Quick Drying varnish was applied to wooden rails and panelled areas requiring a translucent finish, with a number of colour schemes being chosen by consultants to produce a bright interior with Mediterranean influences.

Weathershield Smooth Masonry paint was used on the multi-storey car park to limit the effect of CO2 on the paint, containing a fungicide to inhibit mould growth on the paint film and making it suitable for use in bad weather, as it is shower resistant 30 minutes after application.

A new product and colour card has been launched for contractors, and specifiers can download resources via the Armstead Trade page on the Dulux Trade Paint Expert website and iPhone app.

Johnstone’s staff provided technical advice throughout the process and work undertaken included stripping away old wallpaper from the Georgian property, which was built in 1786.

The product is available in over 14,000 colours and can be used by specifiers as evidence for building certification schemes, such as BREEAM and SKA due to its attainment of EPD.

The website also features the PaintSpec Finder, which allows users to select products and produce a personal cover sheet to present to clients or add to tender or reference documents.

A collector card will be stamped for every transaction, which when completed will be entered into the prize draw, with a separate draw taking place in each of Johnstone’s 177 decorating centres.
